Well, I'm here! I sort of feel bad for abandoning blog.ca...but it's easier to sign in here and keep up with some of my favourites blogs. Not that I don't have favourites on blog.ca...you know what I mean.
Here are a few projects we've been working on.
Caramilk bars for Kylie's birthday party. We switched out the wrapper for a Naruto wrapper, to match her invitations.
Kylie's favourite teacher is expecting a baby soon, so Kylie made a fleece blanket for her. Actually it's purple fleece on one side and butterfly flannel on the other side. So just two squares, sewn together and turned right side out. That's it, easy peasy and completely Kylie's speed. And it looks great, she did a good job (if I do say so myself LOL). The fleece feels like those expensive Lulu Lemon pants, it's really nice.
This is a 12x12 tag blanket for the baby. It's made out of remnants of the fleece, with little ribbon tags. Between the two layers of fleece is a square from a thick, noisy plastic bag. Sammy tested it and approves...she shook it all over the place and it made lots of noise. For some reason, babies love to play with those little ribbon tags.
Jake sews too; he's sewn a marble bag and a pillow case with Gramma. He won't let me take pictures of them, though LOL. I guess he's a bit shy.

I love the new paper on the chocolate bars, too pretty! Great job getting the kiddos involved with the sewing :)I know that Kylie's teacher will love the gifts.
Kylie's teacher will treasure the blanket, because it wasn't just bought for her teacher ~ it was made with love!!
