Mmmm...nitrates.

Photobucket

This was supper because Scott worked late last night...I get lazy sometimes and let the kids have Kraft Dinner (although I love it, too). But I had a yummy taco salad instead.

I have a new addiction: felt play food . I love the everyday items the best, like sandwiches that come apart to reveal all of their components (like bologna and cheese), salad and pizza. Kylie thinks it's cool, too, so I think it's something that we will work on over the summer when we're bored. Maybe we'll put it away for Sammy when she's older. Felt is so easy to work with and I really like to hand sew in the evenings after the kids go to bed, so I think it will be a fun project.

Today is the last day of school! I'm so excited. The kids have already brought home all of their supplies and assignments, and have been sitting on the floor at school for the last few days...their desks have been dragged to the hallway. Kylie is not impressed with her teacher, and for that matter I'm not either: Kylie says all year he has promised things, like extra gym time if they behave, a year-end trip to Millenium Place, popcorn parties...none of which has materialized. As far as I'm concerned an adult should never, ever go back on their word to a child. Never, for no reason...unless you're laid up in the hospital or something so enormous has come up that you just can't do it...and even then, you apologize til the cows come home and promise to make it up and then follow through. So I've lost a little respect for the teacher that I thought was so fantastic at the beginning of the year. Kylie had a tough time thinking of what to write in her thank-you letter to him, so I said to just write, "Thanks for being my teacher! Have a great summer!" LOL.

Well, I should go clean something. The weekend is going to be 30C so I don't plan on doing any housework in that heat LOL. As if I do housework on the weekends anyway LOL.

You make me look like a bad Mother! I just can't live up to your standards - my kids already expect their lunches to be bento-fantastico in all kind of crazy shapes and styles and now this!!!! Amazing designs in their KD!!!

Just stop it!

I love felt :) You just made me remember I was supposed to decorated my holiday tree for Canada Day - I don't think I can rustle up Canada Day shapes in felt by next week though. Oops. I did Xmas and Valentines Day and Easter though. Not bad for year one.

I love mac and cheese too, it is the best! The Octo-Dog is so cute, I bet my big kid would love that.

I love KD. Ashley likes it and Natasha will tolerate it. Natasha would much prefer to have maccaroni and cheese whiz.
